Game Informer broke the news that a Ghostbusters video game is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii.
That’s pretty exciting, especially after some Ghostbusters video game film clips leaked earlier this year. When the clips leaked, Dan Ackroyd confirmed that he was doing voice and motion capture work for a Ghostbusters video game…just not the one the videos were from.
The prototype films were from a company called Zootfly, who announced that the Ghostbusters license was bought out by another mystery buyer.
Rumor is the mystery buyer is Universal itself, since Harold Ramis, Dan Ackroyd and Bill Murray have all been confirmed as writers for the game. They will also be performing voice acting duties along with William Atherton (Peck), Brian Doyle Murray and Annie Potts (Janine).
The above image was printed in Variety along with the new that the game will include multi-player and co-op modes.
Now we just need a new X-Box 360 around here…
